February 2021 GPICA Meeting Recap
The main speaker during the February 2021 meeting of the GPICA was Dr. Michael Mullan, Executive Director of the Sarasota-based Roskamp Institute. The nonprofit Roskamp Institute is dedicated to understanding and treating diseases of the mind, such as alzheimers. His presentation focused on the Institute’s $400,000 National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) study designed to determine whether exposure to the toxins in Florida red tides can increase the incidence of neurological symptoms in susceptible individuals.
