October GPICA Meeting to Feature Hurricane Helene Updates and Information
Meeting will be hosted online via Zoom
Please join us for the October meeting of the Greater Pine Island Civic Association this Tuesday to hear news and updates related to Hurricane Helene’s impact on the Island and the county. Please note that this will be a VIRTUAL meeting taking place on Zoom (link below).
- Please note: You do NOT need to be a member of the GPICA to join the meeting.
Guest speakers will be Lee County Commissioner Kevin Ruane, who represents Pine Island, and a representative of the Greater Pine Island Alliance (GPIA), which was created after Hurricane Ian to help islanders with recovery.
Mr. Ruane will provide updates and county information and the GPIA will provide information on the type of help the organization can offer for cleanup, how residents can access help and how others can volunteer to help neighbors with recovery.
The GPICA is hosting the meeting virtually over Zoom.

GPICA October Roadside Cleanup Canceled
Please note that the October GPICA-sponsored Stringfellow Road cleanup on the two-mile stretch of road between Raymary Street and the little bridge near Four Winds Marina in Bokeelia is CANCELED due to post Hurricane Helene issues.
