September GPICA Meeting to Feature Lee County Utilities Director
Water quality and septic-to-sewer conversions have been an important topic for members of the Greater Pine Island community concerned about degradation in Pine Island Sound and Matlacha Pass. The featured speaker at Tuesday’s meeting of the GPICA will be Pam Keyes, Director of Lee County Utilities.
She will provide an update on the county-wide wastewater management plan, discuss the state of the wastewater treatment facility on the island, along with septic-to-sewer conversion possibilities. After her presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns.
Members and non-members are encouraged to attend in person.
